I’ve always heard people say, “life begins at 40,” but no one ever really explains what that actually looks like. For me, it’s looked like deep reflection, quiet realizations, heartbreaks, stretches of isolation, and unexpected loss.
This wasn’t a crisis. This was a calling.

The Quiet Tug That Turned Into a Roar
Starting over didn’t happen overnight. It started as a quiet nudge in my spirit one that grew louder every time I silenced it. I found myself asking bigger questions:
Is this the life I want?
Am I truly fulfilled or just functioning?
What would it look like to put myself first not out of selfishness, but out of self-love?
At some point, the discomfort of staying the same outweighed the fear of changing everything.
Breaking the Myth: It’s Not Too Late

Our culture tends to idolize youth. Somewhere along the way, it planted this idea that after 40, you should have it all figured out. But here’s the truth: Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is unfigure it all and start over with wisdom, clarity, and intention.
I’m not “reinventing” myself to chase trends or fix what was broken. I’m simply realigning with who I’ve always been beneath the roles, the noise, and other people’s expectations.
What This Series Is All About
“Starting Over After 40” is a love letter to every person who’s ever asked, Is it too late?
It’s not.

In this series, I’ll be sharing stories, lessons, rituals, and resources that are helping me rebuild and rediscover. Whether it’s in career, relationships, healing, home, or purpose this is about reclaiming your life with grace and guts.
Where I’m At Now
Right now, I’m living between release and renewal. I’m learning how to trust myself more deeply. I’m simplifying. I’m choosing softness over striving, alignment over approval.
And while I don’t have all the answers, I do know this: Starting over after 40 isn’t a setback. It’s sacred. It’s an invitation to show up fully as the person you’ve grown into and the one you’re still becoming.
Join Me in This Journey

Starting over isn’t really about a number, it’s about the moment you finally decide to hit reset on the parts of life that no longer fit. It doesn’t have to follow a specific timeline or some magical age milestone. Starting over is really an internal renovation: unlearning old beliefs, releasing identities that were built for survival instead of joy, and gently dismantling patterns that just don’t align with who you are becoming. It’s less of a “new beginning after 40” and more of a courageous evolution at whatever moment your spirit says, “this version of me has expired, let’s build again.” The clock doesn’t decide when we begin again—we do.
If you’re here, reading this, I want you to know something: You’re not alone. Starting over isn’t easy, but it is worth it. And it gets lighter when we truly believe it.
So whether you’re just beginning your own reset or you’re right in the thick of it, I invite you to follow along, share your own reflections, and lean into this space we’re creating.
Let this be the season you choose yourself, with intention.
Let’s rise, rebuild, and reimagine together!
XOXO 💋
